Closer look — Reebok X Hanon Shop CL Lux

IMAG1156

Received these very smart Hanon Shop CL Lux collabs recently and thought it maybe nice to share up some macro shots and thoughts. Read on!

When I first saw the shoe, I wasn’t so sure about the design — but it’s really grown on me, and being a sample (something I just noticed) the material & finish quality is very high.

The shoes include a plethora of debossed details such as the logos on the heels (Hanon store ‘flame’ + Reebok Classics Reserve), Reebok + Union Flag on the upper, and Reebok on the red heel tabs.

The upper is constructed with a mix of ultra-buttery suede panels, with the side underlays having micro-perforations, adding an additional level of texture detail (which the golden suede on the toewrap and heel already has buckets of).

The lining I would describe as giraffe-print, with the footbed featuring a Hanon Shop ‘Keep on Burning’ print decal.

Finally, the outsole mixes Hanon red with a contrasting black which, if I’m honest is my least favourite part of this design. However, already having the red pops on the tongue label and heel tab the shoe wouldn’t seem right without it.

Hanon Shop have done a great job with these – whether they have much opportunity to wear them out in the Scottish weather is another matter. Thanks once again to Reebok Classics. —BokOne
