A perfect video with Rick Williams explaining the inspiration for his 4 ‘Distinct Views’ collab on the Bolton. The fourth shoe ‘TakuBeats’ – inspired by Tokyo nightlife – will release on 3rd November at stores such as Burn Rubber. Apparently inspired by the off-field behaviour of the 1986 New York Mets team, these stunning LX 8500’s feature an all-black leather upper, with a Mets-Blue suede toecap, and orange piping on the medial (inner) side of the shoe representing the neon signs at the Mets’ Shea stadium. Following the highly limited release back in April of the OG Alien Stomper Hi and Mids, things have been a little quiet on the retro hi-top front at Reebok Classic.
But mita Japan recently posted a hint that the venerable Stomper maybe getting some re-release love, albeit in an alternative colourway, but hopefully with wider availability. I’m not seeing any release information just yet, but will keep my ear to the ground 😉 -BokOne
