Absolutely stoked to see this beautiful and ultra-rare shoe: the Womens White/Light Blue makeup of the much-missed DL 5000 which was selling shortly after the 1985 GL 6000 (please comment if you know for sure).
I’m not sure I’d seen them in this colourway before -at least in this much detail- and it took me a while to find this colourway within the Retrobok Media Archive (I was also surprised to note that while reviews stated it was almost indiscernible from the GL 6000, it actually weighed a little more – possibly due to its pigskin upper?).
Seeing the stunning DL 5000 does prompt me to ask the question directly to the Reebok Classic team: isn’t it about time for a retro of the DL 5000, 5600 and 6000? Paul? 😉
eBay (notice the OG brochures included in the sale too)
Thanks to the owner for getting in touch about these. —BokOne

Today sees a very sweet collab release of the hugely popular Club C ’85 by Swedish store SNS – with the C getting an even cleaner treatment with the removal of any logo on the upper side, as well as elk leather and gold debossing details.
I’d actually say that photos don’t do the elegant simplicity of this shoe justice – If you don’t yet own a pair (and regardless of season) isn’t it about time?
Available in a few hours time at SNS (and if you sleep on those, no doubt Reebok will release a similar makeup in the next few months).

With the old Stores/Links page looking dated and -well- BEING dated, I’ve revised and added to the Footer links list (as shown above) and killed the old page. Not the most exciting news you’ve read today I’m sure, but … the revelation for me is that Reebok Classic is in rude health: with stores such as the UK’s Schuh not even stocking the brand –in any form– just a few years ago.
I was in two minds whether to post up about this -with Retrobok focussing on pre-2000 shoes and retros. But for those of us who gym, run or exercise in any modern context: if there was a modern performance shoe inspired by the legendary 1985 GL 6000 then we’d want to know about it, right? Hit the jump for more hot air and floating shoes.
Excuse the single on-feet shot (above is what you get for now) but I was fortunate to recently pick up the recent Graphlite Pro GID. Hit the jump for more words, coloured shapes and clicky things. Read the rest of this entry
Great to see strong design and message (and art direction too) with the forthcoming Epitome ‘Evolution of the Woman’ (EOTW) collaboration.
It’s not too often the legendary Pump Fury gets some female focus in the West; the EOTW Fury is certainly a premium shoe with white patent leather upper and translucent and metallic details throughout.
Launching at an NYC pop-up shop on 12th October, then on 14th at Epitomes’ store in Atlanta Georgia, and online. Price is set to be around US$205.
Be sure to check out the promo video, and more photography after the jump. Great work. —BokOne
