After much deliberation, I’ve decided
that Retrobok will go into hiatus
as of immediate effect.
With Retrobok visitors dwindling (particularly
since the birth of my daughter and my own
lack of spare time), Reebok Classics releases
appearing to slow, and a raft of disappointing
and underwhelming collabs, I’ll be
focusing my time elsewhere.
The site itself won’t disappear any time
soon, and with the painstakingly built
Retrobok Shoe Archive 2.0 first pass
recently completed it seemed a good time
to step away.
It’s been a great 7 and a bit years or so:
Retrobok has been hailed as ‘One of the 15
best independent Sneaker blogs on the Net’,
and I’ve been fortunate to connect with some
truly amazing people, staff past and present
at Reebok/Reebok Classics, and the likes of
David & Joe Foster, Michael Capper, Steven
Smith, Stephen ‘BokTwo’ Dixon and more.
Best wishes for now, and keep that love of
Chris — ‘BokOne’
