Freestyle Hi Exotics ‘Croc’

M41968-3

I feel I should apologise on behalf of Retrobok for not covering Womens’ Reeboks more regularly — so it’s interesting to see a very unique upper applied to the 1983 Freestyle Hi (the sneaker that really popularised Womens’ fitness footwear ~ the Freestyle [low] please note was released in 1982).

These are available now from Titolo in Switzerland. Click on for more images. —BokOne  Read the rest of this entry

Sizzlin’ Hot Reebok — 1984/85 Advert

Superb 1984/85 advert for the Freestyle Hi-Top™, just added to the 80’s Media Section. Many thanks to Zack Schlemmer. —BokOne

Titolo HUGE pre-order range — Ventilators, ERS1500, Nylon Slims…

It’s hard to know where to start with these. A wave of literally dozens of Retroboks in fresh colourways are now on pre-order from Switzerlands’ Titolo store…. Ventilators, Freestyle Hi Italys, Nylon Slim R13’s, CL Suedes, Joggers,  and those ‘Aztec’ ERS1500’s that were spotted as samples here recently. They appear to have one of the largest stocks of online Reeboks, at least in Europe… Titolo —BokOne

Freestyle Hi Vintage Packs

These bold vintage packs are available at a few stores currently, such as Reebok and Titolo. Yet I can’t help feeling that Reebok are confusing people with such a number of Freestyle Hi packs. Currently for Women — R12, R12 Int, Vintage Int, Alicia Keys, as well as the traditional makeups and then the Mens Vintage Int. which sit a little more squarely alongside the Vintage CL‘s. Some nice details nonetheless, and quite the mix of sober and eye-popping colourways to choose from. [Reebok UK Womens] [Titolo Mens] ~BokOne

Freestyle Hi Pastel Pack (Womens)

Delicious looking set of Freestyle Hi’s over at the Spanish SivasDesCalzo site, evoking plenty of 80’s optimism and fun. Freestyles deserve plenty of love and respect here on Retrobok, as much as any Mans’ Runner – especially as they were at the heart of Reeboks fortunes in the early 80’s. Currently €79 alongside the Vintage Pack versions  at SivasDesCalzo. ~BokOne

Cheap Monday x Reebok – Workout Plus / Freestyle Hi Anniversary collaboration

I can’t help feeling that Reebok have somewhat over-done the number of releases celebrating the 25th anniversary of the legendary Workout Plus shoe. Amongst the 15 releases (not helped by the confusing press photo showing 17 designs) were a very handsome pair from Swedens’ Cheap Monday, which were then paired with a similiarly-treated 30th Anniversary of the Freestyle Hi. Confused by all of this? I don’t blame you. But certainly the dual black denim treatment from Cheap Monday does these shoes a lot of justice. I just wish Reebok were a little clearer with their marketing…
