Woah. Londons’ boutique fashion store ‘Garbstore’ has certainly been busy; applying their ‘outside-in’ treatment to more Classics shoes, with some more unexpected results that may divide opinion (as I found out after posting my Garbstore x Pump Running Dual VNT’s; and to be honest that was a very curious shoe).

Just love the simple, retro designs to these posters so had to pop them up here on Retrobok. Also noticing some sweet details with Garbstores ‘Outside In’ designs, such as the outsole pattern print inserts (makes a pretty decent tonguetwister, that 😉 ) Click the jump for the other Garbstore posters blatantly stolen from Counterkicks. —BokOne Read the rest of this entry
My good friend Piotr pointed me at this German video taken by Turnschuh.tv at Bright 2014 in Berlin, with the presenter showing off a pair of Ventilator Supremes with the Garbstore ‘Outside In’ treatment applied to them. I’m not a huge fan of the result to be honest, but it’s very exciting to see this rare shoe making a comeback, we may have to wait until next year though as the presenter mentions Spring/Summer season 2015. Hit the jump to see another screengrab of the shoe, and the full Video (Reebok features at 0.55 in the Video if YouTubes never-working Copy URL at Current Time doesn’t do its job).
Thanks again to Piotr. —BokOne
Fascinating new collaboration between Garbstore and Reebok Classics with the creation of an entirely new silhouette — the Pump Running Dual Mid.
Part of a 2014 Fall/Winter collection, Garbstore have been killing it with their Outside-In makeups of classic Reebok runners, and this feels like a level above – the first time the Pump Running Dual has had any significant changes since its original 1991 release. 2 colourways are shown and should be forthcoming at Reebok stockists (and Garbstore themselves) between now and December. Click on for pics of the 2 colourways. —BokOne Read the rest of this entry
Garbstore have sent me details of their next drop — 2 more colourways of the CL6000, ‘the lead shoe and main kick off point for the “Outside In” project’. The shoe has different colour arch bandages and suede colours on the out and insteps and is ‘very limited release’ Garbstore —BokOne
For those of you mad keen on the Garbstore X Reebok collaboration, Hanon Shop (UK) are now shipping the 3 shoes above — Cl Lthr 6000, Pump Fury and Pump Dual Running as part of the 1st drop of this collaboration. Reports are that the full collection sold out on the launch day at Garbstore in London, though I’ve yet to have that confirmed – they’re still to drop elsewhere so whilst I’d recommend not to panic, don’t hang about either 😀 Hanon Shop. —BokOne
Reebok have informed me that the complete collection of 10 ‘Outside In’ Reeboks will be available today, Friday 13th at Garbstore themselves in London. Hopefully the weather is not too bad for Londoners to rock these crazy kicks! I have no information at this moment on other global/store sales of these but will post up if and when I do. Photos of the complete collection were posted here on Retrobok a few weeks back, check them out! —BokOne

I’m really really blown away by these. Yes, those are GL 6000’s above with a quite simply brilliantly-executed theme of ‘inside out’ resulting in an incredibly fresh and exciting look. With 5 shoes running 2 makeups each this collection transforms retro Reeboks into something a little more haute couture – helped particularly by the lack of clear branding. Release scheduling is detailed as ‘July – October’ which is somewhat confusing – the earlier the better if these are released in the UK, as summer only lasts for about 1 week in July…. 😀 Info and images via HypeBeast, thanks to Alex Schuh for the heads up.
