Garbstore X Reebok Classics @Atmos Japan

a
Woah. Londons’ boutique fashion store ‘Garbstore’ has certainly been busy; applying their ‘outside-in’ treatment to more Classics shoes, with some more unexpected results that may divide opinion (as I found out after posting my Garbstore x Pump Running Dual VNT’s; and to be honest that was a very curious shoe).

Hit the jump to see Garbstores’ treatments of the OG Aztec, ACT 600 and Phase I Pro, and for all the Atmos store links you could ever need. —BokOne  Read the rest of this entry

Garbstore X Reebok — Pump Dual Running, Inferno

garbstore-reebok-fall-winter-2014-pump-dial-inferno-04

With some striking photography, and a familiar makeup that has become synonymous with London-based Garbstore, the Pump Running Dual Mid, and Inferno get the Outside In get 2 treatments this time around. The Running Dual Mid in particular ‘just works’, with the rounded panelling at the midpoint of the shoe providing both a forwards movement, and a focal point for the Pump itself. The Inferno, with its brightly speckled midsole is either complicated or wonderful, depending on your point of view, but is certainly striking (pun fully intended). Garbstore X Reebok — Drop 2 images

Garbstore have sent me details of their next drop — 2 more colourways of the CL6000, ‘the lead shoe and main kick off point for the “Outside In” project’. The shoe has different colour arch bandages and suede colours on the out and insteps and is ‘very limited release’ Garbstore —BokOne

Los Angeles — from 6pm in LA on the 26th (Store only – 2 colourways)
London — from 9am GMT on the 27th Sep (Store & Web – 2 colourways)

Garbstore X Reebok — CL 6000 (White/Navy/Chalk)

The first of the inspired Garbstore ‘Inside Out’ collaboration with Reebok has appeared, with this — a mashup of the Classic Leather and GL 6000 (in a nutshell the upper of the CL, with the midsole of the 6000), all with the inside-out applications ‘on top’ :D. The results are pretty striking, if not quite how we’d imagined it. Looking forward to seeing the other 5 shoe models – each I believe in 2 different makeups. Click on for more images & where to buy. —BokOne  Read the rest of this entry

Still loving the almost-unrecognisable GL 6000’s here, reason being they are actually identified as the ‘GS CL LTHR 6000’ and run a CL style heel tab instead of the OG 6000’s dipped tab. Keep any eye on Hanon where the 1st of the 2 pack drops are expected soon. —BokOne

Garbstore x Reebok 2013 Fall/Winter “Outside In” Preview

garbstore-reebok-2013-fall-winter-outside-in-preview-4

I’m really really blown away by these. Yes, those are GL 6000’s above with a quite simply brilliantly-executed theme of ‘inside out’ resulting in an incredibly fresh and exciting look. With 5 shoes running 2 makeups each this collection transforms retro Reeboks into something a little more haute couture – helped particularly by the lack of clear branding. Release scheduling is detailed as ‘July – October’ which is somewhat confusing – the earlier the better if these are released in the UK, as summer only lasts for about 1 week in July…. 😀  Info and images via HypeBeast, thanks to Alex Schuh for the heads up.
