Paris Runner OG

reebok-paris-runner--og--(white-royal-red-white)-m47348

It appears that there is a new OG retro of the Paris Runner, now available from Germanys’ AsphaltGold store. Great to see it get another re-release, last time it was re-issued was 2012 with a Size? Paris Exclusive.

Note that the Paris Runner also has some interesting cousins, particularly in the form of the Paris Edge which appeared to run the same outsole as the PR.

Head over to AsphaltGold (Germany) now and pick up a pair. Thanks again to Piotr for this info.

And don’t forget to check out the Retrobok Paris Runner Field Guide too. —BokOne

Paris Runner — Grey/Yellow

pr

A new colourway of the early-80’s lightweight runner, the Paris Runner, has appeared recently at UK’s END. Nice to see this shoe get a little once-over with this somewhat interesting Grey/Yellow colour mix, though to be honest it’s more of a ‘Custard’ — or to be completely French about this — crème Anglaise 😀 So, the Paris Runner Crème Anglaise it is, then! Available right now, from END (UK) —BokOne

eBay spot — Paris Edge OG

$_57 (1)$_57 (2)$_57

A very clean pair of OG Paris Edges‘ have appeared on eBay UK, following a different pair that was spotted earlier in the year. Very interesting shoe, with its unique toe box lacking any reinforcing toe-wrap, the blue wrap overlay at the front, and of course being a ‘Paris’ shoe it features the same outsole as the Paris Runner. Many thanks to Ritchie for making me aware of this – images can be clicked for a closer look. Available now in UK Size 9 at eBay UK—BokOne

eBay spot — Paris Edge?

*Article updated* BokTwo spotted these fascinating Retroboks’ on eBay, which he now believes are the Paris Edge. Being hand-made in England, these were possibly in the ’82-’85 era — I wonder if these were made by David Foster himself? Available now in UK 10.5 size on eBay UK. Size? Paris Runner worldwide exclusive!

For those of you wanting a proper retro of the 1984 Paris Runner – well here it is. However, there’s a slight caveat — you’ll need to pop over to Paris this Friday (14th December) and queue to get one of the 50 pairs. Really great to see this reissued with flying colours (colores, surely?) and if any of you happen to pick one up, let me know! ~BokOne | Size? Paris Runner Worldwide Exclusive

OG 1986 London Runners on eBay

These original ’86 London Runners were spotted on eBay (thanks once again to DIXY) and reveal some interesting details. The contrasting Red and Blue heel tabs are  something pretty unique and perhaps, dare I say it – flashy, and a Vibram-branded sole which has a parallel with the 1986 GL6000‘s Goodyear-branded soles. It’s nice to have a bit of light shed on a forgotten shoe. Currently taking bids on eBAY UK.

More pics after the jump. ~BokOne

Paris Runners just keep getting fruitier

Just appeared over at Swedens’ Six Feet Down in Grey/Gravel/Purple/White and Black/Carrott/White. Quite a premium price for these Runners, it must be said. Paris Runners only have a single-density midsole so are not a technical runner even by comparisons with mid/late 80’s Reeboks, but they’re certainly light and very collectable. Click on for more fruity side-by-side pics! Read the rest of this entry
