Fall/Winter 2013 — GL6000 ‘Marathon Pack’

GL 6000 GROUP SIDE
[UPDATED] Within Reeboks forthcoming Fall/Winter collection are another 3 funky GL6000 colourways — with colourways inspired by global Marathons. These have a different feel from the 2013 6000’s so far, featuring the ‘Running Man’ motif on the tongue label (as seen originally on the Paris Runner), and a grid treatment to the upper —

These should be available from 1st July, with stores yet to be confirmed. Lots of pics after the jump! —BokOne

Retrobok EXCLUSIVE: LX8500 Vintage Pack first glimpse

V48986_2 V48987_2

I am hugely hugely proud to present a Web first  showing first glimpses of the Fall/Winter 2013 LX85000 Vintage Pack. In Railroad Grey/Olympic Creme/Black and Athletic Navy/Olympic Creme/Railroad Grey, these retros feature premium soft leather upper with snakeskin embossed heel. Reebok have really gone the whole vintage treatment including the yellowing glue, pre-worn leather upper, and slighty iffy midsole panelling, although I think the originals’ 3M reflective piping on the heel counter has been dropped. Cherry on this Retrobok cake is the accurate vintage 80’s logotype on the upper, which was slightly crammed into the side window of the OG’s with the ® often part-visible.  If so, I’m extremely happy to see this, and proud if Retrobok helped inspire this retro. More images + info shortly. —BokOne

Pickup & Review — Shaq Attaq 2013 Retro

Court Victory Pump — Black/Blue, Red/Blue/White

Here’s 2 smart and spring-like makeups of the 1990 Michael Chang-endorsed Court Victory Pump. I was never convinced this shoe had much beauty, with that slightly odd shark-like midsole detail but these are looking pretty sharp. The details continue to the Pump mechanism itself – whilst it’s lost it’s lurid yellow-green Tennis ball colouring in both cases, it retains the texturing detail. The mesh upper panelling complete these nicely – working particularly well in Blue. Both available now in the US at OneNess Boutique. Info via EUKicks – more pics after the jump. —BokOne

ERS 2000 — Red/Navy/White, Royal/White

Two bold, bold new colourways for the 90’s ERS 2000 just surfaced at UK’s Urban Industry. The Red/Navy pair have a similiar ribbed treatment to the toebox and upper like one of the recent GL 6000 re-issued colourways. Word on the street is that the 6000‘s haven’t been selling so well which is a huge shame – so let’s hope these 2000‘s get noticed and turn a few heads. Click either colourway to link directly over to Urban Industry. —BokOne

Pump Omni Lite GS — Purple/Pink, Gravel/Teal

Wondering what the GS means? Apparently it’s ‘Grade School’, so these colourful Omni’s are available only in Kids sizes. In Purple/Pink (‘for Girls’) and Gravel/Teal (‘for Boys’) — though here at Retrobok I’m all for merchandise with neutral-gender classification 😉 Available now at Extra Butter, NY.  —BokOne

Keith Haring x Reebok — Round 2

More crazy, funky collabs with the Keith Haring Foundation (the great man himself passed away in 1990) will be released April 1st at specialist stores & online featured on the Workout Plus, Freestyle Hi, and Classic Leather Hi. And I’m reasonably sure this isn’t an April 1st joke… —BokOne

2013 Season (US)

Counterkicks has just posted up a huge selection of photos of a recent trade show in Vegas, with Swizz Beatz himself present. A great deal of interesting makeups to be seen here, particularly what appear to be high-top Classic Leathers (seen top left of the image above) – though their midsoles are a little different. Also, plenty of excitement around the Shaq Attack + Shaqnosis retros, which I know a lot of people Stateside are going nuts over.  Read the rest of this entry

Pump Omni Lite — Steel/Shark/White

Very neutral – yet smart – retro of the 1991 Omni Lite. The original Omni Lite differed from it’s predecessor Omni Zone II with an improved Hexalite stability system and leather collar (not seen in this retro please note). The shoe above is also the first non-branded 2013 shoe, where the other releases this year had Basquiat or Dee Brown treatments. Available now from New Yorks’ Sneaker Bistro. Info via SneakerNews—BokOne

Glossy Lips!

Spotted some more 2013 Korean GL6000 promo images of model Sohee, which are pretty good fun — particularly as this campaign is really bringing retro ‘Boks into focus for a much younger generation. The fact that many 80’s Reeboks were made in Korea isn’t lost on us either. More after the jump. ~BokOne Read the rest of this entry

Reebok Classics Spring 2013 – NEW ERS RUNNERS!!

Oh Wow.
Spotted over at Fat Kids are a selection of Reeboks’ 2013 releases. For Retrobok I’m loving the CL Leather Trail variants ;

The 2013 Dash Runners ;

But MOST exciting by a long long shot are these ERS 1500’s ; Reebok-ERS-1500-2013-04

These are a pretty exciting set of shoes, the ERS tubes remind me of the Adidas Handball (though in their case, they had 5 removable plugs).

Great stuff Reebok – can’t wait to pick these up from stores!
