Another very tidy set of makeups on the brutal Ventilator Supreme ; the Black/Yellow/Orange is probably the strongest here (and growing on me the more I look at them) but I really like the colour balancing on the Grey/Pink/Navy and White/Aquamarine/Purple pairs too – fresh is definitely the word. I’m not entirely clear about the R90 nomenclature, but that’s how they’re detailed on Reeboks’ UK site at least.

Now these are on point. Swedens’ WoodWood has added its own touches to one of Reebok Classics most aggressive silhouettes; the Ventilator Supreme. That midsole inner is still a killer feature, but it’s actually the black outsole treatment that neatly accentuates that rearward bulge on the outer – and the circular mesh detailing on the upper paired with the hiking style laces seals the deal.
One of my favourite makeups this year – and it’s been a bloody great year. Jump for more images & store URL. —BokOne Read the rest of this entry
Reebok Classics have used the canopy name recently on a makeup of the ‘Canopy Camo’ Furylite, but this time with the Ventilator Supreme a more matted treatment is applied: I really like these, and I famously hate green sneakers normally… Hit the jump for more cuffed ankle shots and store link 😉 —BokOne Read the rest of this entry
The 25th anniversary of the Reebok Ventilator has brought us a plethora of collabs, colourways and make ups from some of the biggest names in the sneaker fraternity. Reebok has been kind enough to gift us with a pair of the exclusive and very sought after Mastermind (Japan) editions from the duo that was released with an LX 8500. Click on for more. Seemingly in a similar spirit to the awesome CL Trail (a personal favourite of mine), the Ventilator EXP sets itself up for wilder weather applications, with black specked midsoles and a Thinsulate inner for keeping things warm and dry. Really liking the colourways on these, currently only spotted on Reebok USA’s website – head over there and pick up a pair pronto, these have presence. (Apologies for the lack of activity recently, I have been moving house).
I managed to get a pair of the fascinating Ventilator Mid Boot last week, and yeah… this is a very interesting shoe.
For those of you who picked up a pair of GL 6000 Mids, well these Vents are not as similar beast as you may expect. They offer a looser fit, don’t feel quite as high as the 6000 mids, and have some unique details not seen on standard Vents such as the perforation detailing, a camo booty within the upper, boot laces, and pull tabs (one of which runs all the way up the tongue). I’m really enjoying these, they also offer a pretty sweet silhouette when worn with cargo pants or cuffed pants. —BokOne
As previously mentioned here on Retrobok, this new 2015 shoe – based on the 1990 Ventilator platform (quite literally) – is a pretty exciting sign of things to come from Reebok Classics. Read on… Read the rest of this entry
A very low-key colourway to these, for what I believe is the first appearance of a Mid Ventilator! In a very muted gloss and seude-effect Black upper, it’s hard to get a feel for how these will run if and when the panels get coloured. If you think you’d heard of a Mid Vent before, well there was a High sample spotted last year but that had clearly different ankle and ingress detailing. Interesting… Available NOW from Titolo (Switzerland). -BokOne (Click on for more images) Read the rest of this entry
Reebok Classics are certainly not hanging around. Not content with overseeing dozens of new Ventilator makeups in 2015, they dropped the aggressive Ventilator Supreme retros on us, and now – !BLAM! – the facelifted Ventilator II has been retro’d. Hugely impressive work from the team – I’ll be getting a hold of a pair of these pronto! -BokOne Click on for more photos + store link.
Really excited to see this new model appear, which does something a little different this time around. Read on… Read the rest of this entry
2 new lush makeups of the recently retro’d Ventilator Supreme are available to buy now from Switzerlands alwaysonthefrikkincuttingedge Titolo. Sporting the Outside In twist, you’ve got a choice of a no-nonsense Grey/White/Cream with more Grey, or the whackybonkers Purple/Cream/White/Grey/Pink/Brown/Blue/Red shown above. You know the answer. The answer is BOTH 😉 Titolo -BokOne
Another superb collab with Reebok Classics in the 25th anniversary year of the Ventilator, and this time it’s Detroits’ Burn Rubber to step up to the blocks. Curios about the name? Continue reading! Read the rest of this entry
One thing I feel particularly guilty of with Retrobok is not covering enough of the Womens’ shoes available within Reebok Classics’ range — and there are many to choose from. So as a small token offering, here’s a pair of pretty brutal (in a good way) Womens Ventilators in collab with LA designer Melody Ahsani. Read on … Read the rest of this entry
