CL Vintage s/n

Fifth and final post tonight, and it’s probably my favourite! Really rather in love with these Vintage CL makeups – particularly the Red/White pair. Loving the aged-look single density midsoles, and the clean lines throughout giving this pack a genuine vintage feel. Curiously, while they sport the SINCE 1983 embossing on the heel section, they’re missing the 30th Anniversary tongue labels (merely sporting the standard Starcrest motif). And finally, if somebody could explain the S/N titles, I’d be most grateful. Each image jumps directly over to each shoe at Spains’ Sivasdelcalzo. Great work Reebok! —BokOne Edit: of course… suede/nylon

Freestyle Hi Pastel Pack (Womens)

Delicious looking set of Freestyle Hi’s over at the Spanish SivasDesCalzo site, evoking plenty of 80’s optimism and fun. Freestyles deserve plenty of love and respect here on Retrobok, as much as any Mans’ Runner – especially as they were at the heart of Reeboks fortunes in the early 80’s. Currently €79 alongside the Vintage Pack versions  at SivasDesCalzo. ~BokOne

♥ CL Nylon Slim – Grey/Rosette

I spotted these over at Spanish Sivasdescalzo.com a few weeks back and fell in love with them – as Marley Marl said in 1986 ‘he cuts so fresh’… this colourway certainly does. Whilst the exact history of the CL Nylon itself may not stretch back as far as its inspirations, both the CL Nylon and the lowered Slims deserve a place here on Retrobok – especially when they inject a spot of retro freshness amongst the reissues. Again, these fall into the cheap and cheerful camp, with firm emphasis on the cheerful. Click the image to jump over directly. ~BokOne
