Cleaner than a Nuns’ conscience, these Distinct Life x NPC UK‘s run in an ultra-clean white leather makeup with a wealth of debossed detailing, an olive/gum midsole, and ‘the talented tenth’ nomenclature in a number of places on the shoe.
Curiously, I’m seeing little in online information about release of these – so keep your eyes peeled. Hit the jump for more amateur photography. —BokOne Read the rest of this entry
Second Collectors Feature already this year at Retrobok, and this time a regular contributor from Poland who loves his classic runners, particularly in collab form, and has provided me with some superb collection photos as well. Read on! Read the rest of this entry
Just a reminder that the Distinct Life GL 6000‘s are available tomorrow from a few select Reebok stockists globally.
Black GL 6000‘s literally fly off the shelves, and these with the TDL touches and attention to detail (such as the camo embossed leather, gum sole and lace pendant) should be no exception. Hit the jump for a couple more juicy images, and the store links! —BokOne Read the rest of this entry
The third colourway for Detroits’ The Distinct Life (aka Rick Williams) has just appeared on Hypebeasts online store. Running with the camo-embossed leather mixed with black mesh for the upper, biege (Pebble) suede for the sidestripes – as seen on the previous 2 shoes in this series – and a gum outsole, these look pretty sharp indeed. Remember that we are still expecting a Burgundy colourway from TDL to wrap up this neat and highly-collectable set of four 6000’s.
Detroits’ The Distinct Life collaborate again with Reebok Classics with this 2nd part (of 4) GL6000 colourways. As previously covered here on Retrobok with the Navy Blue/Gum makeup, the lace tag shown below revealed the 4 colourways planned ; so expect Black and Red in the next few months.

I’ve unearthed a few more details about the TDL collabs on the GL 6000, helped by the fact that my local store – Laced here in Brisbane Australia – somehow managed to get stock before anyone else (or perhaps more accurately, were permitted to put them on sale). Read on… Read the rest of this entry
With looks and arguably a certain level of finish akin to a pair of New Balances, this collab certainly has the air of quality about it. Another collab with Rick Williams – one half of Detroits’ Burn Rubber (with their own Reebok collabs recently, notably the 30th anniversary Classic) Williams shouts out to other Reebok collaborator Frank the Butcher with the BAU hangtags/details. Debossed Camo prints on the leather are a neat idea – though its not easy to see the results from the photos. Nice work though! Available Saturday April 6th at Burn Rubber and other quality stores. —BokOne
