It sometimes feels that the Ventilator Supreme is a bit of an overlooked shoe, so it’s always great to see it getting some extra focus. For those with keen eyes, you already spotted Kendrick Lamar rocking a pair in the stunning Alright video.
Now Reebok Classics have another signing with Harlem-born Cam’ron delivering a very tidy makeup of the insane mid-90’s runner, named after his 2004 Purple Haze album.
With release date set at 20th April, keep ’em peeled! —BokOne

Another superb collab with Reebok Classics in the 25th anniversary year of the Ventilator, and this time it’s Detroits’ Burn Rubber to step up to the blocks. Curios about the name? Continue reading! Read the rest of this entry
Apologies I haven’t been focussing much on the stunning Ventilator collabs so far this year, in the case of MAJOR (Washington DC, USA), this pair is particularly striking. Read on…
The 1990 Ventilator is currently celebrating it’s 25th anniversary and there is a huge selection of anniversary colourways hitting the stores + streets right now, and Reebok Classics recently released the 2nd of 3 colourways from the 2015 Ventilator Vintage Pack, this time in Chalk/Snowy Grey/Team Purple/Energy Blue. Read on for more, and for macro pics.
Second of 3 Ventilator packs currently available from global stores selling Reebok Classics.
“Very limited pairs of the Ventilator “Night Vision” pack are available now at Shoe City, Urban Outfitters, Sneaker Politics, and Reebok.com for $85.“
Seems to be a strongly fruity theme with this latest set of Ventilator releases, with these Raspberrys stepping up to the mark. Sneaker Politics don’t list these as Womens (which I did wonder about) but to be honest, a colourway this good works either way. Hit the jump for more juicy shots! Following on from the GL 6000 post featuring a pair of red Womens 6000’s in the ‘Rebel Berry’ colourway descriptor, are these (can I call them ‘Sister’ pair?) of Womens Ventilators which run a sweet gradiated colourway and a gum outsole. Available now are these 3 high-contrast colourways of the brutal retro classic Ventilator, as revealed a couple of weeks back here on Retrobok.
For a moment I did wonder if Reebok Classics were taking note of Retrobok opinion on this shoe (deserving more aggressive colourways, being the suggestion). However, the very small time period after my opinion and these appearing casts considerable doubt on that.
Superb! Great to see this shoe getting some radical, new colourways. The Ventilator is a genuine classic Reebok shoe which deserves more aggressive colourways to match its bold appearance. Reebok Classics have a done a superb job with the panelling on these — notice that the colour blocking links up to the outsole colouring.
However, I’m still at a loss to explain why Reebok are obfuscating the Ventilator intakes on the side upper… it’s like removing the pump from The Pump…
Available now from Reebok UK and hopefully other stores too. —BokOne
Reebok Classics release another new colourway for the brutal Ventilator: a personal favourite of mine. And whilst I like the contrasting Orange/Navy colouration, I feel the Ventilator really lends itself to bolder, higher contrast colourways — something I hope the Classics division will consider.
Slightly curious is the lack of Ventilator meshes on the sidewall, a notable omission considering the shoes’ title. Still, a highly underrated shoe and one I urge you to pick up in a colourway of your own choice 😉 Available now at Reebok (UK) —BokOne
This bold new Ventilator colourway recently spotted in Reebok Classics’ S/S video teaser has now appeared for pre-order/re-order at Germanys’ Overkill. And brutal it is too. I’m a big fan of the Ventilator ; a true 90’s Retrobok and a slightly unrecognised classic in its’ own right. Overkill (Germany) —BokOne
Following directly on from my mini-review of the Royal Blue Ventilators, are a further 2 new seasonal colourways both bearing the speckled midsole and pop-colour eyelets. These all feature new materials from the September OG’s, with a combination of suede and full-grain leather overlays combined with ballistic nylon underlays. In short — these are ready for Autumn and Winter, and may explain the lack of traditional Ventilator meshes on the upper. I’m particularly struck with the Black/Flat Grey/Ultraviolets which look part-military, part bad-ass. These are available now from stores selling the Reebok Classics Reserve Collection.
